What a year it has been! As I sit down to reflect on my 2024 travel journey, I can’t help but feel an overwhelming sense of pride, gratitude, and excitement for what’s to come. This year has been nothing short of transformational for my career and my personal growth as an independent travel advisor.
Starting the Journey with Onvigo
February 2024 marked a major milestone in my life when I participated in a two-week training session with Onvigo to officially become an independent travel advisor. Those two weeks were intense, but they were also inspiring. The team at Onvigo welcomed me with open arms, providing the tools, support, and motivation I needed to take my first steps into this exciting new career.
The First Big Win
Shortly after completing my training, I booked my very first all-inclusive trip. The joy of helping clients plan their dream vacations was everything I hoped for—and more. It was the moment I knew I was exactly where I was meant to be.
Diving into the Industry
August brought an unforgettable opportunity: my very first FAM trip! Traveling to Cancun, Mexico, with Onvigo and Hyatt Inclusive Resorts was a dream come true. Touring breathtaking properties like the Hyatt Vivid Grand and Dreams Vista Cancun gave me firsthand knowledge I could bring back to my clients. Plus, connecting with other advisors and industry professionals made the experience even more rewarding.
To make the trip even more exciting, Hyatt announced an incentive: whoever sold the most Hyatt brand properties by the end of November would win a 3-night stay at one of their stunning resorts in Cancun. I’m thrilled to share that I WON! This accomplishment was the cherry on top of an already incredible experience and a reminder that hard work truly pays off.
A Personal Adventure to Cuba
In the fall, my husband and I, along with another couple, escaped to the beautiful shores of Cuba. It was a trip filled with laughter, memories, and a much-needed recharge. Despite the rough waters from recent hurricanes, the trip was nothing short of magical—proof that great travel experiences are about the people and moments, not just the destination.
A Year-End Celebration
December closed out the year on an incredible high note: I placed in the top 20 sales for 2024 with Onvigo! I was thrilled to see my hard work and dedication recognized, especially in my very first year as an advisor.
Feeling Inspired and Looking Ahead
Onvigo has been more than just a host agency for me—it’s felt like home. From their outstanding training programs to their incredible customer service, I’ve been inspired every step of the way. They’ve helped me see not just the potential in this career, but the potential within myself.
When I look back on my goals for 2024, I’m amazed at how far I’ve come. I’ve accomplished more than I ever envisioned in this first year, and I’m so excited to see what’s next. My journey is just beginning, and I can’t wait to set new goals, build new connections, and continue sharing the gift of travel with others.
